We are pleased to inform you that ISAJ is going to organize its 9thannual symposium entitled “Interdisciplinary science and technology for safety and quality of life,” to be held on December 7th, 2018(Friday) at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) auditorium in Tsukuba Science City. You are cordially invited to attend the symposium. Your esteemed presence would be a great encouragement for ISAJ and its future endeavors. We are anticipating a large gathering of both Indian and Japanese students (as well as students from other countries in Japan) and young professionals to participate in the conference.

As you may be aware, the number of young researchers from India is rapidly increasing in Japan. They are working in nearly all fields of science and technology. This symposium will showcase the latest scientific activities of Indian, Japanese and other researchers based in Japan. Well-known Indian and Japanese scientists will be delivering lectures in the symposium to be attended by many academicians, professionals and students. Considering the growing importance of India-Japan partnership in science and technology, this event is expected to provide an important forum in bringing together Indian and Japanese scientists. Your support  would be crucial for the success of the event.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we invite abstracts for short oral and poster presentations on any disciplines of science and technology. The deadline for submission of the abstract is November 16th, 2018 (Friday). Abstracts for consideration for oral presentations or poster presentations can be submitted by scanning the QR code from the symposium flyer as well as by e-mail to isajtsukuba2018@gmail.com. Authors will be notified of acceptance of abstracts by November 20th, 2018 (Tuesday); including the presentation type it has been accepted for. Please click the link below to submit the abstract files (both PDF and Word format). Find the sample abstract file attached at the end of this page.

The registration fee: 3,000 yen (Students: 1,000 yen)will be collected from all participants in cash at the symposium reception desk. Please note that all the abstract authors (presenters) must be registered and pay the registration fee.

Please invite your friends and colleagues (Indian, Japanese, and any other nationality) to submit their abstracts and participate in the symposium. Please also feel free to blog, tweet, forward, or otherwise, share this event with anyone you think would be interested.
